Kuvva desktop applications

Kuvva is a great new initiative from Present Plus with a simple but strong idea: they select the best wallpapers for you and make sure that there is a new wallpaper available for you every single day. Their challenge was to make it simple for you to get a new wallpaper on your desktop with as much ease as possible. This is where De Monsters came in, we created a Windows and a OS X application that automatically downloads a new wallpaper every day and sets it as your active background image.

The team at Kuvva does an incredible job of finding artist who are willing to create a unique set of wallpapers to be shared with all the users of Kuvva. At the beginning of every week a new set of wallpapers becomes available.

The desktop app automatically downloads and displays a new wallpaper once every 24 hours. If you have a wallpaper that you really love, you can add it to your personal list of wallpapers by 'loving' it straight from the app. And if the current wallpaper is not to your taste, you can simple skip to the next one in the set or of course switch from the weekly set to your loved wallpapers.

Kuvva aims to be available on all platforms where their users are. This started with Twitter and the desktop apps took the next step with offering wallpapers to both Windows and Mac OS X. On Windows the app is available for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. On Mac users can enjoy Kuvva on Leopard, Snow Leopard and Lion. The app is one of the featured apps in the Lifestyle category in the Mac App Store.
